Communiqué on Import Inspections of Construction Products (Product Safety and Inspection: 2014/14)

Construction products (laid down in Annex to this Communiqué) to be imported shall comply with the provisions of Regulation on Construction Products which was issued by the Ministry of Public Works and Settlement and legislation issued based on this Regulation and safety requirements.
Following subjects are covered in the Communiqué:
- Risk analysis and Risk Based Control System in Foreign Trade (TAREKS)
- Products to be forwarded to actual inspection
- Case for secondary compensating products
- List of Products which are subject to inspection on Import based on the Regulation on Construction Products
- Construction Products that are/are not required to bear CE Marking
- Exemptions and Exceptions
- EC Declaration of Conformity and EC Certificate of Conformity, Initial Type Testing Report, G Marking
- LETTER OF COMMITMENT TO THE MINISTRY OF ECONOMY
- Product Inspectorates Group Chairmanships and Directorate of Customs and Enforcement within their area of responsibility
Construction Products that are required to bear CE Marking are listed in Annex 1, there are currently 34 such products. Construction Products that are not required to bear CE Marking are listed in Annex 2, there are currently 42 such products, and required Turkish Standards are also laid down in the same Annex. Construction Products covered in this Communiqué, fall in the scope of the following headings in Turkish Customs Tariff Schedule:
